We had a fantastic time during our weekend getaway at this charming cottage. The hosts were not present, but we had no issues and were welcomed with a delightful surprise of wine and biscuits. The cottage was surprisingly spacious and had a fully enclosed outdoor space, perfect for our dog. The location was a bit secluded, but we enjoyed the peaceful surroundings and it was still a short drive to beautiful beaches and attractions like Alnmouth and Buston Links. We even spotted barn owls and a deer during our walks!
Would recommend this hotel.

The Blacksmiths Cottage in Alnwick was absolutely amazing! The room was cozy and comfortable, and the private bathroom was a real treat. I loved the deep soaking tub, it made me feel like I was relaxing in a spa after a long day of exploring. Best of all, there were not one but two bathrooms in the cottage, which was really convenient for me and my travel buddy.
If I had to pick one thing I didn't love about the Blacksmiths Cottage, it would be the shower/tub combination in the second bathroom. It's just a personal preference, but I would have liked a separate shower instead.

the cottage itself was charming and spacious, even more so than what the photos showed. the hosts were not around during our stay, but that wasn't an issue as everything went smoothly. We were pleasantly surprised to find wine and biscuits waiting for us upon arrival. the highlight of our stay was definitely the hilarious antics of their goat. It provided us with many laughs. the outdoor space was fully enclosed, which was perfect for our dog and made our stay stress-free. the location was ideal for us, despite being a bit far from the village. It was a short drive to Alnwick, Alnmouth, and Buston Links, a beautiful beach. We enjoyed lovely walks in the surrounding areas and even spotted some barn owls and a deer.
Nothing to mention.

Our Easter stay was absolutely fabulous! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with a bottle of wine and some delicious biscuits, which was such a thoughtful touch. The cottage itself exceeded our expectations - it was even more spacious than it looked in the photos. We loved how stress-free it was for our dog, as the outdoor space was fully enclosed. And the location couldn't have been better! We were just a short drive from Alnwick, Alnmouth, and a beautiful beach called Buston Links. We had the most wonderful walks in the evenings and saw barn owls and even a deer!
As much as we loved our stay, there were a couple of small things that could be improved. It would have been handy to have some hooks for towels and jackets somewhere in the cottage.
